Read, write and share stories
The Sweek story
Started in 2015 with ‘just an idea’ and launched in October 2016, Sweek managed to attract tens of millions of writers and readers, stories and interactions.
Writing and reading habits are changing rapidly, due to the 24/7 presence of our smartphones, social media and a shift to shorter stories and serialized reading. These are exactly the reasons why we developed the Sweek writing and reading app translated in over 14 languages, with publication of stories possible in over 60 languages. Join us!
We want to stimulate free reading and writing on a global scale. Storytelling leads to a better world: it helps fighting illiteracy, stimulates dialogue and unites people from all over the world. And it is fun too!
A global community of readers and writers
Reading and writing on Sweek is social: you can comment on, follow and like stories and share them on social media. Stories unite us and remove physical borders. Become a part of the global Sweek community: talk to fellow readers and connect with other writers. Challenge each other, express yourself and help others improve their writing. Stay up-to-date whenever a new chapter is published!
Turn your stories into a book
Although we stimulate social & mobile reading and writing on the smartphone, we do understand that there still is a strong presence of the ‘good old’ printed book. That’s why we offer Sweek Publishing too! Publishing and selling a printed book (and an e-book) has never been easier, thanks to our Sweek self-publishing services. We will guide you through the entire process of publishing a book. Publish for free and earn an attractive royalty per sold copy. It’s easy, it’s fast and it’s free!
Sweek: The people
What would we be without our valuable people? They all breath writing and reading, love to be social and are hooked on their smartphone. Meet our Sweekers!
We are proud to have a great network of Sweek ambassadors, or how we call them, Sweek Keepers. Lovers of stories who spread the word about Sweek in their countries and always give fellow readers and writers a helping hand. Thank you all! Want to become a Sweek Keeper?
